I can't pick just one photo that makes me happy.  So here are a few.  :)
He was the sweetest little boy.  :)
This was when he was just starting to smile.

And, this is when he was just starting to show some attitude.

His first time eating cake. Can you say sugar rush?

Our first zoo trip. Needless to say, he loved it.

His first Easter.  He was just 2 months shy of being 1, and I figured he could go ahead and have a little bit of chocolate.  This was a great day.
This was his first time being in the grass, ever.

We were really trying to encourage walking and standing.  Well, he wasn't having it.  This was his form of protest.

I love this one because there's a picture of me doing this exact same thing as a child.

Haha.  That's all I have to say.

This and the previous picture are from our trip to Alkatraz.  That, to this day, is one my most treasured memories.  It was the perfect day.

So, I basically gave you guys an album full of pictures, mostly from our time in California.  I really loved that time in my life.  I was doing online school (I'm always doing some kind of school), but I was also able to go to the gym a lot.  We went on walks around our neighborhood on base almost daily.  We could see cows from our back door.  Our duplex was on the edge of the very small CG base, and the neighbors were farmers.  It was really peaceful.  There were quite a few very friendly stray kitties that were always willing to let you pet them (or feed them).  And, to top it all off, there was a great inexpensive grocery store off base where I could get tons of fresh produce and delicious fresh salmon.  I couldn't have been happier.  Oh, and P.S. The weather there was my kind of perfect: cool, cloudy, and rainy, with some occasional sunny pool days.  :)  Like I said, perfect.

I'm really hoping that we get to go back to that area or a little further North for our next duty station.  Just looking at the pictures makes me miss it terribly.  Oh well, at least this winter here in Louisiana will be similar-ish.  Kind of.  :)

Ok guys, what pictures make you happy?
